I feel like the yogurt thing would actually happened based on who I talk to

Obviously the US side is exaggerated a bit but… at least from my work experience there was NO mercy given if you were sick and called out day of.

I love America, love Americans, but there is something deeply telling about the first question in Spain being being “are YOU okay” vs US being “am I goin to be ok”

It’s kinda crazy how far basic human decency goes in the work place
Maybe I should do a skit next about how my American boss cursed at me when I was 16 and made a mistake
(I worked at an ice cream parlor)
