The Demo of this game was quite promising, but we were both somewhat let down by the full release. I have yet to play the single player campaign, but it felt like we saw most of what there was to be seen by just playing the short demo. The concept of using a cricket bat is still pretty cool though.

Hmm, its always difficult playing a beloved game like this without nostalgia goggles. While this was definitely way better than FF8, I cant help being annoyed at quite a few things. The poor dialogue translation might be the main culprit though, as it makes the many many cutscenes just feel stiff and robotic. I do think the graphics are charming for the time and have no issues with the low poly characters. All in all, the game is okay, but there are much better JRPGs out there like Grandia.

I always liked this series, though its a very basic beat-m-up.
I went the really slow route towards beating this game by doing a Professor Oak challenge, which involved quite a bit of grinding.
