This is a great method for making pocket hole joinery work better with thicker material like 2x4. Pocket hole joinery is designed for 3/4" material and doesn't work well with large thick frames, but adding a rabbit cut increases strength and assembly speed for structural framework. With my truck frame I delivered a large load over bumpy roads without any shifting. All the engineering was tested and approved.
