This is a great beginner project, it required no sanding or finish, although you could if you wanted to, i have a tree out front that drops hundreds of cones, some of which i have cast in resin for pen blanks etc, i have seen others turn these little hedgehogs so i decided to make some and take them to the park while walking Finn, I left them in the park for people to find as they walked around the track at the park here in Woodslee. It didnt take long for an older couple to find one, i wish i had recorded the ladys face lol.
i have been woodturning sice 2013, i love it as a creative outlet and the community or woodturners is great, there is lots of help and support out there available at the touch of a button. don't be intimidated or scared to ask questions no matter how basic, most of all be safe in your workshop, follow all safety rules and guidlines.
use channels such as mine as inspiration and entertainment.
it is recommended to get proper training with power tools to prevent accidents
most of all remember to be creative and have fun
