I cut some lumber from a freshly felled maple tree about a year ago, the wood was wet, i placed some of it into black plastic bags and left them to ever so slowly dry, fungi grew and eventually they spalted, i decided now was the time to turn something from one of them.
Please take a moment to think of those fighting for their lives in Ukraine and lets hope that democracy wins and those that oppress are removed from Power.
I have been woodturning since 2013, I love it as a creative outlet.
For me it has been a journey, from my great great grandfathers wooden bowl that i own to my fathers the community or woodturners is great, there is lots of help and support out there available at the touch of a button. don't be intimidated or scared to ask questions no matter how basic, most of all be safe in your workshop, follow all safety rules and guidelines.
use channels such as mine as inspiration and entertainment.
it is recommended to get proper training with power tools to prevent accidents
most of all remember to be creative and have fun
