Whether you’re marking dovetails, taking off an angle from an antique, or transferring an angle from a plan, you want a bevel gauge that adjusts easily, locks firmly and won’t move again until you want it to. Woodpeckers Sliding Bevel Gauges feature a unique locking mechanism that delivers precisely adjustable drag and positive locking from the end of the tool. The locking knob fits naturally between your thumb and finger and provides positive feedback for tension adjustment. Internally, a wedge multiples your effort, exerting firm gripping pressure on the blade with only moderate finger pressure.

The Bevel Gauge in this video is our 4” model, which is ideal for dovetails and smaller projects. We also have a larger 7” model that can handle larger furniture projects. Both feature a satin-finish stainless steel blade, all stainless hardware, jeweled stainless steel inserts and a “Woodpeckers Red” aluminum body.
