Hey everyone, Mark Wood here. I’d love to share a wonderful story with you—the birth of a Viper from start to finish, complete with a surprise delivery at the end, thanks to a special CNC machine called the ShopBot.

We were commissioned to build two signature Vipers for international superstar electric violinist Val Vigoda—singer, composer, and brilliant Viper player. She was, by the way, the first female Viper player in the world, starting over 25 years ago.

Beginning with a block of seasoned wood, we programmed the ShopBot for this unique configuration. With supreme precision and accuracy, the ShopBot is the perfect tool for my team of luthiers working at our shop in New York.
