When I’m building a slip board fence, I like to use SPAX’s multi-purpose #8 yellow zinc wafer-head construction screws to secure the slip boards in place.

We use two screws per slip board assembly – note slip board is the only fence type where I use these typically interior fasteners.

The reason being is I like the increased surface area of the wafer-head because it really locks the boards down and resists movement as they dry out. No pre-drilling is needed and they’re made in these United States.
