Quinton and I started working in February to create an original composition that explored what Wonder Woman's song might be like if she were in a musical. We decided it would be a conflict song, but finding the cracks in a character that is created to be sure of herself wasn't easy, and we went through quite a few drafts! Eventually we settled on the idea of her being all alone and not knowing where to turn after completing the task she thought would fix everything, only to find that it didn't. In this instance, she has just fought and killed Ares, the god of war. She assumes that killing him would end war among humans, but is shattered to find this is not the case. Her belief that people are inherently good and that they just need guidance to do the right thing is ultimately what pushes her forward and allows her to step into a role as a leader for good.
Quinton is a musical theatre composer, coach, and songwriter, and is currently in the cast of Hamilton on Broadway. He killed it with the music, and I highly suggest looking into his other works too!
