Duo Ruut was part of the WOMEX 22 official Showcase Selection. Katariina Kivi and Ann-Lisett Rebane create their own style, playing and composing on one instrument original songs inspired by time-honoured elements with which they weave from sound and silence minimalist nuggets that connect folklore, nature and enduring human stories with contemporary ruminations. For the second time WOMEX teams up with the independent filmmaker and sound explorer Vincent Moon. WOMEX by MOON 2022 is a collection of 4 short films shot during the 28th edition of WOMEX, in Lisbon, Portugal, between the 19 and 23 of October 2022.
