As South Africa initiates a new National Dialogue and considers a “New Social Compact,” it's important to revisit the idea of citizenship and the role of women in leadership. Women often manage societal challenges as male-dominated structures falter.
On Women’s Day, we must explore whether matriarchal leadership can provide visionary alternatives. This seminar will assess the political economy's impact on citizens and discuss women's potential to lead effectively, understand socio-economic challenges, and explore alternatives like the Circular Economy.
Can women rise to this challenge? While many are active in leadership, we must consider if they conform to patriarchal norms or if they can contribute to a transformative movement that offers better solutions.
