Investigators found the body of a woman near the border between Laurens County and Dodge County on Monday night, according to Laurens County Sheriff Larry Dean.

Dean said authorities responded to an abandoned home on New Bethel Church Road around 8:00 p.m. on Monday, where they discovered the woman's body.

Dean says they are still working to figure out how the woman died. Investigators are waiting to release her name until they find her family and notify them.
