Women be quiet, step back and let him lead. I know! That’s a huge statement but let me explain. Being a strong independent black woman has served me well when I was single but now in my marriage, I’m learning to step back and let my husband lead and listen to what he has to say and do. The struggle is so real! So many of us women have had to grow up being strong and independent, by strong independent mothers, but how does that impact a marriage and what does God have to say about it in the Bible?
I have asked God so many questions including why are you called a father? Why was Eve made after and from Adam when it's women who give birth? This is my attempt at being obedient aka "trusting the process and God". Although I don't have all the answers, let alone the words to articulate it all in this video, this is a conversation starter and something to revisit.
I also came across this video recently after filming this which was very insightful. It's by preacher Dr. Munroe of @MunroeGlobal The sermon is called The Power of Women:
