A senior dog that was surrendered to Pasadena Humane got a second chance at love from the family that adopted her littermate more than 10 years ago.
Vickie Showalter had her dog, Dakota, for more than a decade. After Dakota passed away from cancer, she recognized a puppy picture of her late dog in a Facebook post seeking an adopter for Dakota's littermate, Ginger. Upon the immediate recognition, Showalter raced to Pasadena Humane to adopt her late dog’s sister.
