Locomotive hauled passenger trains officially finished on 8th December 2023 when N459 ran the 728am service from Bacchus Marsh to Southern Cross Station. To the surprise of everyone, 19th December, N467 ran the 602pm service to Bacchus Marsh and the 528am service from Bacchus Marsh to Melbourne Southern Cross. It's the first time in many years a N set passenger car has run on the western line to Bacchus Marsh. Here is the morning arrival at Rockbank from Bacchus Marsh. The Vlocity to Ballarat arrives first and uring the arrival, you can hear the platform announcement explaining to people how to operate the door on the N Set Passenger Cars!
