Submarine tells the human story of life on board of the HMS Superb submarine, following key characters from all sections of a working ship. Most missions are secret and communication with the outside world is rare. Starting with the submarine’s departure, we follow her progress through the rigours of sea training and the demands of the patrol, and reflect on the stresses and strains placed on the families left behind.
