Well what can I say, this DLC was better, better then GoA at least. It had more voice acting, it was good and original and it fit the context. The dialogue brought me back to DA:A, it was of superior quality to any of other ad-on DLCs. With ad-on I mean these DLCs not integrated in the main game DA:O.
There was no original areas, but like Return to Ostagar their reuse was acceptable. The OGB "a means to and end" as Morrigan said in the end, means that as important as it could be, it would not be a critical peace, and only make things easier for Flemmet, and what she has planned. It is quite ominous and unlike GoA, not so completely lame. This refers to the plot of DA2.
"Change", people don't like that. I agree with Morrigan on that. I was disappointed that "Dog" was apparently not our "dog" but just a new one, or at least, it was never confirmed that it was the old dog. They also failed to provide high level dog talent, giving it instead access to basic warrior skills.
I'm not disappointed, but I am not excited either. I believe that this DLC is the final bridge, between DA:O and DA2. It could have been an expansion; it should have been an expansion. There were certain places that were mentioned, places that we could have seen, had it been an expansion and whom we might see in the future, in DA2 perhaps, or perhaps first in DA3.
It is clear that money is an important factor, they needed to cut cost as much as possible, but this time at least, they left us with a core that I consider fair.
We won't see any more DLC, every feeling I have tell me that this is the closure, of DA:O at least. I still think we would see the warden again, it doesn't feel like his or her story have ended, but Ferelden we can say farewell to.
I finished the game on Nightmare setting and unlocked all acquirement without difficulties. The creatures are not supersided like GoA which I consider a plus, but it still lack some challenge, and it was a little unstable as it crashed a few times, but that have also happened with DA:O and DA:A.
I believe that this DLC have deserved 3 and a half stars out of six. In comparison I give:
I give Leliana's Song and the Darkspawn Chronicles 2 stars
Return to Ostagar gets a 3
DA:A gets 4 stars
The Stone Prisoner and Warden's Keep 5.
Golems of Amgarrak doesn't deserve a star, it gets a 0.
I discovered the game at 20:52 CET
Finished download at 21:05 CET
And Finished the game at 23:20 CET giving it somewhat over 2 hours of gameplay.
I would recommend you playing this, it is worth the 560 point, but it's not worth more, unfortunately it was all they could afford, hopefully DA2 will be as big as we hope.
