Hey everyone! Here's the next episode of Scales & Tales with Wishbone Ash: Pentatonic Harmony Secrets. I've had a number of requests to feature more of the mighty Wishbone Ash's music, and I've also had requests to feature more about building harmony guitar parts and harmonization in general, so I figured putting both of those requests into the same lesson made sense and we could hit both topics at the same time - so let's dive in!
This lesson revolves around a handful of harmonized guitar parts pulled from Wishbone Ash's classic 1970 self-titled debut album. That album in particular, is simply loaded with harmonized guitar riffs, melodies, and solos - so it's a great album to really help you wrap harmonized guitar parts and fretboard-based strategies for ANY rock guitarist.
The harmonized sections of songs in this lesson include parts pulled from Lady Whiskey, Queen of Torture, Blind Eye, Handy, and Errors of My Way, to name a few. You'll see we're harmonizing riffs, melodies, string bends, melodic guitar solos, and more in this lesson, but I've also included a special section focusing on and demonstrating the best intervals to use for harmonization, general harmonization rules and fretboard strategies, and much more!
