Okay, deep breath. This video took so much courage and strength for me to post. I've been going back and forth on whether to mention this on my channel since I got the diagnosis last year today. But, I've made a decision to share this with you all. I will not let this be something I'm scared or ashamed for people to know. I am cancer strong.

A year ago today, at the age of 25, I got a diagnosis of breast cancer. It has been one of the hardest years of my life but at the same time, one of the most important. It's taught me so much of my own strength and resilience, as well as shown me just how incredible the people in my life are. And I can't thank them enough for all of the love and support (you know who you are).

On November 7th, 2019 I had my double mastectomy surgery and I am so happy to say that it worked. I got the call on November 11th, that I was cancer-free!

I still have a long and hard road ahead of me but I am strong and am getting through it, with the help of my friends and family. This week has been hard and emotional but I am choosing to make this a proud memory instead of one of shame.

Please make sure to do self-checks and make sure to do the proper research on how to do them! My only symptom was a lump that didn't hurt. No discoloration, no leakage. Just a lump that, thankfully, I got checked in time. Please be safe and healthy.
