The US Government requires telecommunications companies like AT&T, Verizon, and more to comply with legally mandated wiretapping requests, a Chinese hacker group has infiltrated the equipment used to comply with these requests.

Access to sensitive systems used to legally evesdrop on almost anyone clearly give the hackers a tremendous amount of information. It remains to be seen what used was made of the access to these important systems.
