Ok so, after extensively learning to TAS SM64, I finally decided to go the step further and TAS not only a new console, but a new game!
Getting to the point, after getting used to this game and playing around with mechanics, I have many ideas to make this a great TAS. Stick around, leave me tips, and wish me luck!
I have spent a lot of time on Pokemon Ranger (PR) working on optimal techniques such as optimal text transitioning and optimal capture/stylus movement.
I am currently TASing the English version as I am still unfamiliar with the game and it's dialogue, etc. So for now, I am TASing the USA version of the game. I currently plan to tas the Jap version afterwards, if I so feel up to it.
When It comes down to capturing Pokemon in this game, I initially did it with squares. I now realise that I believe triangles are better suited for some Pokémon, as there is one less vertex in the structure of a triangle. The only issue I would encounter is that there is less (exactly half) the area than a square which means there is more chance of hitting the Pokemon. I am yet to further experiment with this.
Also, if any of you know anything about LUA scripting and how I can output the button presses, I would be grateful if you can help me!!!

![Star Road (SM64 Hack) - Deep Dive into the Cage (15 seconds) [TAS]
Star completed in 450 frames! (15 seconds)
I think it is possible to maybe get hit and fall on the enemys first rotation cycle. Will keep working in it for a possible 3 second or so time save! Star Road (SM64 Hack) - Deep Dive into the Cage (15 seconds) [TAS]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/XSVcBuBZ-sQ/mqdefault.jpg)
