The annual holiday tradition continues, where I attempt to branch off from my usual style of music and give it a more celebratory feel. This year's 2020 December Project harbours more intensity than the previous 4 holiday tracks, as I realised that I had to compensate for not making a holiday track last year 2019. You might have noticed a major tone change if you're going to this track from "Cryout Of The Bells". That's because 100% of the virtual instruments used here are completely new to my libraries! This means a new orchestral library, and a couple of new drum kits! Consider this year's track, titled "Winter Wonderland" as a test run for these sets of new sounds!
Now, to describe a little bit of what I've made here, I've constructed a few original melodies in an adventurous vibe, just to give it that "wonderland" feel. As for the "winter" side of the idea, what I did was involve the HEAVY usage of Sleigh Bells. You can almost always hear them ringing for the duration of Winter Wonderland. Another thing that I did to make this more "christmasy" was to include snippets of actual Christmas carols in there! If you listen closely, at some points of the track you will be able to identify 3 carols. Deck The Halls, Carol Of The Bells, and Jingle Bells!
