Winter Sowing 2014 season - Transplanting Beefsteak Tomato Seedlings into Their 1st Pots After Grown in SNOW
Watch me transplant a whole jug of some good sized organic beefstake tomato seedlings into their new containers after having been grown FROM SEED IN THE SNOW!
I use a technique called Winter Sowing where I plant the seeds in milk jugs or other smaller containers and place them in the snow mid February. Mother Nature does her thing and the seeds germinate in spring and turn into awesome FREE seedlings.
In this video from my first Winter Sowing season in March of 2014, I am taking them one by one out of their winter container and transplanting them separately into the next size container before they reach their final destination of a 5 gallon container. You can also use this method to grow seedlings to plant in the earth if you are not doing vegetable container gardening like I am.
