Visit beautiful Oregon and Union Pacifics three heavy mainline grades through the Blue Mountains! In this program, you will start at the Snake River and the Idaho state line, traveling over the mountains to Pendleton.
Along the way, you will see trains crossing three steep mainline grades, Encina Hill, Telocaset Hill, and Kamela Hill.
This is the main route to the Pacific Northwest, and you will see everything from locals to manifests to doublestack intermodals. This program was shot in late February, and the weather was unpredictable. One moment bright sunshine, the next heavy snow!
