1:13.7 lap around Putnam Park during our first outing with the "WF-CS" Porsche Cayman. This car is detuned to 218HP and weighs in at 3030lbs (w/driver) for competition within Gridlife's GLTC wheel-to-wheel racing class.
This is certainly not our first foray with a Cayman chassis, but we are testing a number of small changes to optimize the car within the GLTC ruleset where it will have to compete with everything from lightweight S2000's to torquey Corvettes - all with similar power to weight ratios. Perhaps the most significant change to this Cayman is the 10.5" square wheel and tire package. Handling balance showed promise during this initial outing. We're hopeful that we can develop the car into a competitive package for the series. But at the very least, it sounds and looks good!
