Aſter several weeks reviewing over 2,400 entries for our contest to quit your day job and chase your dream job, we’re pleased to announce the winner of The Day Job to Dream Job Promotion: Queena Bergen. Congratulations to Queena, who’s powerful dream of embarking on a national poetry tour touched our hearts.
Although it was a tough decision filled with many amazing entries, in the end, there was one entry that rose overwhelmingly to the top. The submissions were judged by a panel of prAna brand ambassadors, who reviewed them based on the criteria of quality of submission, originality, boldness, personality, and passion. Queena shined in every single category.
Her story wasn’t only original, it was told in a unique way – as a beautiful spoken word poem detailing her personal struggle and powerful aspirations. Her passion came through with each word, written from her heart and spoken with conviction. And of course, Queena’s dream of a national poetry tour to motivate and inspire others felt like the very definition of creating positive change.
Thanks to all those who participated. Even though there could only be one winner, we were inspired by the thousands of personal stories and overwhelmed by the number of inspiring applicants. We wish them all the best, and hope they continue to keep chasing their dreams.
