NOTE: This works at 720p 60fps as well as 1080p. Also, the uploading process does not change, just the video rendering.

This video describes exactly how to save movies in Windows Movie Maker in such a way that will allow them to be posted to YouTube at 60fps. For those of you who prefer to read the steps are as follows:

-Record a video at 60fps with resolution of 720p or better
-Upload this footage to Windows Movie Maker
-Edit the footage as you wish
-When ready to save go to File--Save Movie--Create Custom Setting
-Then change the resolution to match the resolution you recorded the footage in: MUST BE 720p or better
-Change the "Frames per second" to 59.94 (60 works sometimes but not for everyone)
-Save your new custom settings
-After saving your new custom settings, go to File--Save Movie and select the custom setting you just created. It will have whatever name you gave it when you created it,

If your video comes out very pixelated, try increasing bit rate to 12000 kbps (Maximum bit rate supported by YouTube according to a helpful comment!)

Now you can make HD videos at 60fps with Windows Movie Maker and post them to YouTube! Have fun making super smooth vids
