WinClient5270 | Windows Longhorn build 5048 in Vmware Player (DWM ENABLED) @2008WindowsVista | Uploaded February 2013 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
This is Windows Longhorn build 5048 in VMware Player. I managed to get DWM up and running pretty easily. DWM works on most computers and Virtualization Software with this build. You must install the hounsel 6.5 driver pack if you are installing on VMware, if you are installing on another VM software, then there is no need for hounsel's driver pack.
Download Windows Longhorn and more: winworldpc.com
BIOS date: 04/02/2005
Product Key:TCP8W-T8PQJ-WWRRH-QH76C-99FBW
Hounsel 6.5 Driver Pack:thecollectionbook.info/information/downloads
How to use Hounsel: youtube.com/watch?v=w0uhIBC5340
To anybody having trouble with choosing a drive to install to, you will first need to create a partition with a Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 disc. If you don't have this disc, go to https://thepiratebay.se/torrent/4130362/Microsoft_Windows_XP_Professional_Corporate_Edition_RTM_SP0_2001 to download an XP ISO. Also, once the VM is installed, you can enable Aero on any VM Software (not sure about VPC 2007). But anyways, to enable Aero (DWM), Click Start, click run, and type in the following: c:\windows\system32\rundll32.exe c:\windows\system32\udwm.dll DwmClientStartup. Hope you enjoy! ***Please Note***: The DWM in this build is really buggy and could be a pain to enable in VMware. Keep trying though. Its worth the beauty!
