What is Windows 365 Boot?

A new feature that lets you log directly into your Windows 365 Cloud PC from a Windows 11 device.

Windows 365 Boot Prerequisites?

Requires Windows 11 Pro or Enterprise, Windows 365 Cloud PC license, and Windows Insider Program Dev Channel enrollment.

The dev channel requirement is only for the preview release of the Boot feature.

How to Enable/deploy Windows 365 Boot Features?

Use Microsoft Intune to create and assign resources for Windows 365 Boot.

Configure Windows update, VPN, Wi-Fi, and language settings as needed.

Wipe existing Windows 11 endpoints (?) after finishing the configuration.

Policy CSP - CloudDesktop for Windows 365 Boot Cloud PC?

This policy allows the user to configure the boot to cloud mode. Boot to Cloud mode enables users to seamlessly sign in to a Cloud PC that's provisioned for them by an IT Admin.

For using a boot to cloud mode, users need to install and configure a Cloud Provider application (eg: Win365) on their PC and need to have a Cloud PC provisioned to them.

For successful use of this policy, the OverrideShellProgram policy needs to be configured as well. This policy supports the below options:

1. Not Configured: The machine won't trigger the Cloud PC connection automatically.

2. Enable Boot to Cloud Desktop: Users who have a Cloud PC provisioned will get connected seamlessly to the Cloud PC as they finish the sign-in operation.
