Microsoft released, Windows 10 KB5036892 OS Build 19045.4291 for version 22H2. This is part of the April 2024 Patch Tuesday Update, brings the latest security fixes and enhancements. Windows 10 KB5036892 also adds option to use Windows Spotlight as your desktop wallpaper and Microsoft rolling out sports, traffic, and finance content on the lock screen. This update add new option to use Windows Spotlight as your desktop wallpaper allowing you to set wallpapers dynamically from the cloud as backgrounds from the Bing service, similar to the Spotlight feature for the Lock Screen.
As part of the Lock Screen improvements, the system will be able to show content for sports, traffic, and finance in addition to weather.
This update also brings numerous improvements and fixes to Windows, resolves issues with the touch keyboard not opening, fixes application freezes related to the COM+ component and ensures continued app functionality after upgrading to Windows 11. Deadlocks in CloudAP and Remote Desktop access problems with Remote Credential Guard are also addressed.
Security enhancements include updates to the Antimalware Scan Interface (AMSI) and fixes for Microsoft Edge launch issues on Surface Hub. Additionally, the update aligns time service settings between the Windows Settings app and management policies, resolves image loading errors with LoadImage(), and improves scanner connectivity.
