Five colorful tokens slide through the arms of the windmill shape. In the middle, there is a switch that routes the tokens left-right-left-right. The object of the puzzle is to scramble the tokens and then solve the puzzle. Whereas most people tends to approach the puzzle as a dexterity puzzle, sometimes even manually adjusting the switch in the process, the puzzle is actually a twisty puzzle. One should route an arm of token through the switch in one continuous swoop.
The original design of the puzzle was too easy to solve, as the switch did not allow to fully scramble the puzzle and reach any state. This issue was solved by adding a spring to the switch. After one swoop of tokens, the spring resets the switch is a fixed orientation. Thanks to this innovation, the puzzle can be solved from any state.
The tokens were made by 3D-printing a heavy copper-filled-PLA-filament cylinder, which was embedded in the colorful outer token shape.
