Time for my first seed of a new Randomizer from a game that I thought I knew more than I did. So yeah, there's a lot of salt.
But that's more entertainment for you guys.
Be warned, though, this one's long.
It also starts off with those who joined in co-comms also rolling and running their own seeds, but recording ran so long that they moved on to other projects, so there's some unusual overlap. But I don't mind as this would have had a lot of empty commentary otherwise.

6 pieces of Alumina down, 1 to go.
The final piece is in the possession of the King of Herat, but he wont part with it unless we can curb his appetite. And the solution to that is meeting up with the Wizard of Taste back in Lyden who tells us about the Purple Newt found in the aptly-named Purple Newt Cave.
Funnily enough, finding the actual Purple Newt felt easier than finding the cave.

Easily one of the most depressing routes in the game, at least up until the final boss, given that we gain some unusual insights into our enemies and find there isnt a whole lot of satisfaction under the current conditions. Munchausen and Mihee do have some good chemistry and pair well as characters, though its basically all Mihee in terms of the gameplay with this pairing.

Our miniature world tour continues as we explore towns and villages that will come in handy to visit later either due to future plot points or just needing a place to warp to.
But the big winner for this episode is stumbling onto the Isle of Forfeit where we can re-obtain anything that we may have sold in the past, including items that let us create something that can kill all of our enemies for us. Hey, dont look at me, Saruman was the one offering it.
Oh, and bunnygirls! Rather forward bunnygirls, but they were still censored in the original release.

Maybe Felt should have reconsidered going on a journey with more than a talking sword and a couple of Heal Herbs as traversing a desert while unprepared is basically a death sentence. But we at least are able to finish our first dungeon, meet a new party member, get a glimpse of some of the supporting cast, and decide to act like a JRPG hero by helping people in need.

One of the rare pair scenarios where Kohtaro isnt the absolute butt monkey.
This is another one I really like as the pair develop a sibling-like relationship despite their objections to the idea, but you can see some good development on both sides over the course of the run.
Gameplay-wise though, Emilio still does most of the work.

Im either going to kill her or Im beginning to like her!
That Han Solo quote fairly sums up Mihees relationship and development with Reika over the course of this run, so look forward to some more silliness especially as Reika tries to prove shes actually from the future.
Gameplay-wise, Reika does a decent job at covering for Mihees few weaknesses with her better shikigami attack and longer-lasting bomb, so this isnt a bad pairing.

The various Marisa titles created by Double Cluster have been fairly memetic in the Touhou fandom since their creation. As I already did a Lets Play of Mega Mari, I figured that it would be interesting to return to the even more difficult Super Marisa World, which is full of Super Mario references in its bosses.
However, I still have PTSD from playing through the game years ago, so I convinced three members of the Bakashop Quartet to do a blind race of the game with some assistance from me.
Will there be a winner? Or will there just be survivors?

We finish up exploring and looting the Wailing Blue prior to encountering the first major boss, Velagunde, and show how good Hugo is against a large, slow-moving target (unlike Epona).
Theres nothing standing in our way in terms of moving forward, so on to the next section of the tower!
