When we set out on our full-time RV living adventure, we had no clue Wind Cave National Park was even a thing. While you don't need to pay to get into the park, the Wind Cave tours do have an entry fee which isn't covered by the National Parks Pass. We had a blast exploring the cave. Win Cave has been mapped to 140 miles, but they estimate that they have only explored 10% of the entire cave system, making it the largest cave in the world. The girls were also excited to get their Junior Ranger Badges from Wind Cave National Park.
While in the area we camped at Chardon State Park which was absolutely phenomenal. The park had quite a few hiking trails and was perfect for bike rides as well. We highlight recommend checking out Lookout Trail which have views of the Black Hills.
