Let's face it taking up a hobby can be expensive. But not everything needs to happen at once, I am a huge proponent of run what ya brung kind of thinking. I typically let my terrain and experience tell me what mods are needed and when which seems to be the way we do it here at #blindmanoverland
Much of what we do is in the wintertime, and up here in Canada, the snow can be as treacherous as it is deep, and not always in that order. A winch was definitely needed on the #adventuretruck, it took me a total of a whole year to determine what would be needed and most importantly how I might afford it. With some friendly trading between me and Matt from Exploration Overland, I managed to find the equipment I needed without being out of pocket too much. Just goes to show that buying second-hand doesn't always mean used but usually always means affordable, and the added benefit of knowing exactly who your money or trade is going to benefit.
#smittybilt makes one of the most recognized and widely used winches available on the market today. This is my second Smitty Bilt winch personally and I have yet to be unimpressed.
This is another big one gang, this install nearly completes the build of the frontier the only thing left is a proper suspension upgrade and a rear swing-out tire carrier with bumper....and maybe a locker.
