Day 1:
-Ask for military access from Brittany
-Put a leader with maneuver in charge of your 8 stack in Normandy
-Move 8 transports to Land's End
-Get a royal marriage
-Raise another army in England
Near Future:
-Evacuate forces from Brittainy to reinforce your Southern Armies
-Fight in the south of France until outnumbered, retreat North
-Land newly formed men in Caux / Normandy
-Get access from Burgandy or any other country that borders France
Constantly:
-Watch out for French forces
-Raise mercenaries
If you're able to hold your ground, then slowly press forward and push back the French
If you cannot hold your ground, retreat to a neutral nation, and snipe at French armies, as I did in the video.
If Burgandy declares war on you, make peace as soon as possible on whatever terms you can get; they may attack the French, and you can't afford to fight two wars at once.
Only go for the Personal Union wargoal if you get an heir. If you do not have an heir, then the War of the Roses event chain will undo it. You'll get a cassus belli to restore the union, but the following civil war will make following up on it impractical.
If you don't have an heir, take provinces from the French in order to limit their power. You may want to make them release countries so you can diplo-vassalize them and not take aggressive expansion. If you want to quickly follow up with a second war, then you can declare war on Scotland, who the French guarantee. They may or may not join.
