Since I wasn't working as conductor on this day I got a chance to follow my own train at a few scenic locations. Seen here is a short train of empties headed east out of Palouse in the area of the WA/ID border. This is in my opinion the most scenic portion of the line, with many areas not visible from roads and only accessible by rail. Here are a few views at the locations that are visible from the adjacent roads.
