Located approximately 200km South East of Melbourne Wilsons Promontory National Park is characterised by sandy beaches, prominent headlands, plunging granite cliffs backed by coastal dunes and swamps.
Wilsons Promontory is the remnant beginning of a land bridge that once connected the Australian mainland to Tasmania. The land bridge flooded isolating Tasmania and the Bass Strait islands sometime around the end of the last ice age.
The footage in this film was shot during a single day visit to Wilsons Promontory National Park. The Locations visited include Tidal River, Norman Bay, Squeaky Beach and Picnic Bay.
