Located near the Willow Lake Pull off at mile 88 Richardson Highway south of Copper Center, Alaska.
Trail access is directly across the road from the north end kiosk at the Willow Lake Pull off- there are no trail head signs.
Cross the highway, then go left (south) along gravel until you see the ATV trail on the right just past the yellow sign that reads 7-11, then its straight up to the top staying along the ATV trail.
I would rate this as a moderate to strenuous hike due to elevation gain of about 1,800 feet during the last 2 miles. Our GPS read 2.7 miles one way from the pull off.
I would recommend trekking poles as the loose gravel is like walking on marbles on the way down in several places!
