Williamsport is a 189 mile drive from the Hunters Point library in Queens, a New York City Borough. In September, prominent architect Stephen Holl unveiled his $41.5 million library. Holl’s library is inaccessible to children and adults in wheelchairs, to the visually impaired and, indeed, to fat people.

Williamsport is a town of 28,000 where our elderly and disabled residents depend on our library for access to computers, a place where information on housing, job training, and employment is readily available, and books— lots of books including a large print collection.
