Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has dismissed the country's defence minister, Mykhailo Fedorov in the midst of war, a move that has sparked protests in Kiev and other cities.
Just days after removing the popular minister, Zelenskyy also dismissed Ukraine's commander-in-chief, Oleksandr Syrskyi, appointing Mykhailo Drapatyi as his replacement.
In an exclusive interview with Roundtable, veteran diplomat Kurt Volker questions the timing, arguing the outgoing minister had done an ‘amazing job’ and that Ukraine needs stability during wartime.
