(How to vet and find editors who support you and your authorial voice.)
This is a seminar for the 2025 AuthorTube Writing Conference.
Are you worried that a line editor would diminish or change your authorial voice? Change things so much it looks like someone else wrote it? Professional editors don't (well, at least they shouldn’t—at least not without making arrangements to do so, per your contract).
And, where do you actually find these editors?
This presentation will give you information about how to decide if an editor may be a good fit for you, and where (and when) to find them.

If you are interested in my editing services, I have openings for projects of 50,000 words or more, starting in mid-August! In the meantime, I can offer samples of 1,000 words to see if we are a good fit. I can also do copyediting, proofreading, and sensitivity and/or authenticity reading of short-form works such as short stories, essays, and book-publishing related content such as blurbs and other promotional content of up to 5,000 words.
