something I wrote because of my mood and then inspired from this song, hope you have something to cherish in your life right now:
Some days burn harder than most,
brighter cracks and heartfelt depths appear so far away,
eyes red and face dull,
darkened skin and permanent scars,
when all hits at once and
you don’t find peace.
And you remember those blistering moments you had
when things were perfect and lights were bright,
when smile was mild and hopes were high,
and you look up and think to yourself,
why do things have to change, why do I have to change
and you wonder,
can I just look up and see the stars
can I just look up and avoid the dark?
Mood is about to go 100 miles down
where everything is dark and sad,
desperately looking for things to distract me from the reality,
the harsh and the unbelievable truth of life
that all is vain and restless,
wishing for everything to stop right now,
every functioning thing to go haywire,
all the rules in dust and done to be undone,
such is the disastrous state of my mind right now,
hard to break it to you,
hard to make it up for myself,
and I am wondering,
can I just look up and see the stars
can I just look up and avoid the dark?
