Director's Statement:
As a director, my vision for this short film was to create a full-blown cinematic experience that would make audiences go absolutely Gaga. I wanted every frame to pulse with the scale, thrill, and intensity of a big-screen sci-fi epic, despite the short format. With Nector’s story, I aimed to challenge the traditional boundaries of Indian cinema—particularly in the realms of science fiction and visual effects. The fusion of ancient symbolism like Rudraksh beads with advanced orbital weapons was a deliberate contrast to echo India’s mythic legacy in a futuristic setting. The visual language, sound design, and VFX were all sculpted to feel immersive and world-class. I envisioned the chaos, the trance, the techno-spiritual madness of it all to unfold like a visual opera. This wasn’t just about spectacle, but also about reimagining Indian narratives in the global sci-fi dialogue. With this film, I wanted to plant a flag—India can do sci-fi, and we can do it our way.
