Grand Theft Auto 6 keeps getting delayed, will the final release date for GTA 6 mean it is too late for the jokes and references to land?
The long development cycle of Grand Theft Auto VI may prove a problem for the usual biting pop-culture references and commentary that Rockstar are known for. Pop-culture moves so fast, that it actually possible for GTA VI to be out of date before it even hits store shelves.
Worse yet, another delay could push it even further down the road, meaning that material written over it's long development cycle will only become more and more dated. Only time will tell if Rockstar have managed to craft another experience that feels current and cutting in their efforts to mirror the success of GTA 5 and GTA online.
