From the 24th to the 26th of May, speed and sophisitication will meet at the famous Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on the banks of Lake Como. For the eighth time, A. Lange & Söhne is the main partner of this competition for elegant classic cars. In the eyes of Lange CEO Wilhelm Schmid, both cars and watches are “ambassadors of beauty, elegance, grace and usefulness” and embody a quest for ultimate precision, adhering to an aesthetic principle comparable to the rules of proportion in art.

$The ODYSSEUS CHRONOGRAPH After six years of meticulous development by our product developers and highly skilled watchmakers, we have yet again ventured into uncharted territories in precision watchmaking with the launch of the ODYSSEUS CHRONOGRAPH. Our first self-winding chronograph is powered by the newly developed L156.1 DATOMATIC calibre, which is customised for novel applications. One is the innovative and dynamic reset-to-zero function, which sends the chrono seconds hand back the entire distance travelled within a fraction of a second. The second feature is the dual-function buttons, which allow, depending on the crown position, the easy use of the chronograph as well as the correction of the date and day of the week. The chronograph is equipped with a dial whose special architecture creates the illusion of depth, a feature shared by the previous ODYSSEUS models. Together with the lancet-shaped hands and our hallmark date and day-of-week display, it also assures excellent legibility.
