All of the weight of the world
Couldn't change anything
Not a bird in the city or a flower

Blooming through the concrete
Where no one goes
It only gets ten minutes of sunshine
In the boulders surrounding
I sometimes feel like that little yellow flower
Where the seed just planted roots in the wrong soil
I'd rather be a tree by the river than by the mountains
So I can watch everything go by
And I'd rather live in the wilderness
Than a suburb full of people surrounding me
If we could only start new world
So far away from this one
Have we forgotten that much
That we can't just have fun

That we tie ourselves to bricks and mortar
And why would I want to bring a child in this world
In the burning walls of cities and forgotten towns away
I always remember that little yellow flower
Hidden away deep in the city walls
It was a seed in the wrong soil
And it cant get out, can't run away like I did

Not a bird in the skies or a city flower
I run to the wilderness
That is where I am safe
From the mayhem
From the chaos that's where I see
That's where I understand everything
