Rather than creating a traditional performance video for Wild World, I wanted to tell a story inspired by the song. We begin in separate places and separate worlds — three people connected by music without yet being together. As the story unfolds, those worlds gradually intersect at a little waterfront pub called The Salty Dog, where music brings everyone into the same room and, eventually, sends them back out into the world together.
The visuals aren't intended to be a literal performance of the recording, so you won't see every piano key, guitar chord or movement synchronized to the track. Instead, the playing is part of the atmosphere and the story — a cinematic interpretation of the song rather than a performance video.
For me, it's really a little story about distance, change, friendship and the way music can bring people together. We hope you enjoy it!
