Cassowaries have a variety of call, including this repeated, low frequency call (which in this case was directed at her reflection in a window). On another occasion, this female made a single, very very long, even lower frequency call, which must carry a long way through the forest. The sound recorder on my camera couldn't pick up the extremely low frequency. Being nearby, I could feel the vibrations as much as I could hear them. Like being in Jurassic Park! What a privilege.
