It might not be as iconic as the original Wild Arms opening, but the intro to WA3 is sure something and I definitely watched it a healthy amount of times as a teenager. It also lends itself to what I call a rustic cowboy campfire cover style of acoustic guitar strummin' with a solo whistley doot.
The timbre of sopranino recorder (aka "we have piccolo at home") works really well as a stand-in for me not knowing how to whistle - even if the half step modulation was a pain to learn - and AC did a super amazing job making heads or tails of my very first lead sheet!
We actually played this live together and sounded rad, but recording separately with a click allowed me to sync it to the original opening animation (the first one to avoid spoilers) which is something that came out really cool!
Now of course I want to arrange more Wild Arms music oops.
