UCLA Library | Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon: Learn, Lunch & Leave a Footprint with Open Access! @UCLALibraryOfficial | Uploaded October 2014 | Updated October 2024, 1 day ago.
Oct. 21, 2014 (10 a.m. – 1 p.m.) @ YRL

To create open access aware Wikipedia editors, the UCLA Library is holding a Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon with the hands-on task of assigning a list of open access Digital Collections as external links to appropriate entries and creating entries or improving existing entries on topics as the opportunity arises. Activities include an introduction and demonstration on how to edit in Wikipedia, practice in the sandbox, and an overview of the Wikipedia environment and culture given by Margarita Nafpakitis.

We have 24 laptops or bring your own.
Lunch will be served.
